Belgium is a sovereign state in the western part of Europe officially known as the Kingdom of Belgium. It is a small country that is densely populated and has parts of Germanic Europe and Latin Europe. It is important to note that Belgium is home to two main linguistic sections. These groups are the Dutch-speaking group which consists mostly of the Flemish community and the Dutch-speaking group that consists mostly of the Walloon population. Belgium is among the six founding members of the European Union and a founding member of the Eurozone, NATO, OECD, and WTO. You can always have these destinations at the top of your cities list.
Moving to Bruges
This is the capital city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish region, northwest of Belgium. The center of Bruges is oval in shape, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Living in Bruges will give you a feel of the medieval times studded with Gothic architecture and old buildings which date back to medieval times. Bruges is also referred to as the Venice of the North. The city has significant economic importance which it owes to its port. Moving to Brussels
This is one of the cities in Belgium that you find very attractive when it comes to diversity in art, culture, and architecture. It is the de-jure capital of Belgium and de-facto capital of the European Union. The region is officially known as Brussels capital region which is located at the center of the country and part of both the French-speaking community of Belgium and the Flemish community excluding the Flanders region and Wallonia. The city is famous for its center, the Grand Place, established in the 13th century. Brussels is a lovely place to move to when you take into consideration its beautiful environs and great museums.
Moving to Ghent
Ghent is the capital of East Flanders province of the Flemish region and major trading, export, and manufacturing center. In the middle ages, the city was one of the wealthiest cities in northern Europe. It is renowned for tourism which is evident in Ghent’s historic past and many ancient structures. The city situated in western Belgium is also known for its cuisine that offers a sample of European dining. As one of the largest cities in Belgium, it has a great transport network and also has the third-largest port in Belgium. Ghent also has very fine schools and some research-oriented industries located in the central and southern parts of the city.
